Nolboo Hangari Galbi

Last week, Lihai and I walked past Nolboo Hangari Galbi at NAC and decided to give it a try! We were initially gonna go to Sushi Tei..but..

1. since Kaitlin was sleeping on her pram and..
2. there were a few steps (really, it was just like 3 steps -.-) we had to walk up with the pram and didn't want her to end up waking up
3. the place and food at Nolboo looked pretty yummy

First up, they served up a super yummy porridge. I don't really know what it was but it tasted like sweet potato/pumpkin/corn porridge but it was just cray cray yummy! The kind you can eat non-stop and would totz be lovely to have if you are ill or like when the weather is damn cold.

Anyway, I googled and read some reviews..and it is pumpkin porridge! I'm not exaggerating..but just typing this already makes me drool over the porridge. It's like if it was on the menu, I would order it as my main course. That's how yummy I found it to be!

Moving on..came the side dishes..Lihai and I both liked the peanuts with anchovies and of course the kimchi! The beansprouts were really refreshing to the palate as well.

Lihai ordered bimbimbap and I got a spicy beef stew. I didn't manage to take a peekture of his bimbimbap cos he dug into before I could -.- Oh well, at least he offered to order another one so that I could take a peekture :) so sweet!

The spicy beef stew wasn't as spicy as it seems to be in the peekture but it got a little jelat after awhile. It came with a bowl of rice as well, which I barely ate cos it was just too much food!

If you are wondering why there seems to be like noodles inside..I don't know why there was noodles inside when it didn't state on the menu, but it's not really like noodles la. Like not the made from flour kind of noodles. I think it's like made from jelly or something. It looks abit like tunghoon. It was yumxz though!

Anyway, to our pleasant surprise there was complimentary dessert as well!

I don't know if it really is what Koreans eat, because it tasted like pulut hitam. Point being, it was nice luh. Overall, we were satisfied with the food. Service was not bad, but they could be slightly more attentive.

They also have two other outlets at Orchard Central and at 112 Katong.
