Home Learning

First off, I do sincerely apologize for the lack of posts, especially since I've just moved my blog to a domain. Thanks for all the support so far :)

Lots has been happening at home..besides the usual motherly duties. The husband has been home the past couple of days (YAY!), but that also just means less time for me at the laptop. A happy reason being that we finally have some time to spend together, and the not-so-happy reason being that it's time to tackle our errands and to-do list that require us to do them together. Important issues to discuss, and planning for the future etc. #lifeofanadult

All that aside, we've of course been spending loads of time with Kaitlin and trying to prep activities and materials for her.

I've decided that though Kaitlin attends half-day school, I still very much want to be present in her learning journey. Thus, I'll still be doing home learning activities with her as and when I can. During my arduous search for the "right" preschool, I came across different styles of teaching approaches such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Since then, I've been very interested in letting Kaitlin learn through play. I think it's a great way for kids at such a young age to learn about their environment and themselves without any stress. At the same time, they can use their imagination and creativity which I think it's great.

With that said, I'll definitely be documenting our home learning at home whenever I have the chance to take pictures and blog (cos well the priority is babygirl and not blogging), so do check back yeah!

For now, I'll leave you with some home learning links/resources that I've found while planning for my activities with Kaitlin:

No Time For Flashcards
Mr Printables
Hands On As We Grow
In Lieu Of Preschool

Hope that helps if you are into home learning! Meanwhile, do share your resources/activities if you have any :)
