The Move to a Domain!

So yes, I've finally made the move to a domain! Also, if you've noticed, my URL is no longer, but now :) However, no worries if you are used to typing in my old URL, cos it will auto redirect to the new one!

I decided to just do a few Q&A just in case you might be wondering these in your head here goes:

Why did you move to a domain?
I basically moved to a domain cos I felt a change was necessary and I didn't want to have a kind of thing going on. I've come to a point where I kind of feel that blogging is something that I like to do and would like to continue doing. Hopefully it'll get me somewhere in the near future as well :)

Why did you change your blog name and URL?
I think I would explain why BEAVERWOO in the first place! Well I decided on BEAVERWOO back then cos it was the only thing I could think of that best represented me. It was also initially a nick name back when I was in school.

I decided to scrape it cos I feel like since becoming a wife and mother, I've grown and it's time for me to mature, and for my blog to mature as well. Of course, I'm not totally scraping my identity, I'm still the same person, who will still keep those fond memories. I just wanted a name that represented the current kind of life I have and want, and what's important to me. Needless to say, my little sunshine would be Kaitlin and not forgetting the other very important ray in my life, Daddy Li.

Did you set it up yourself and was it easy?
Yes, I moved the domain and set it up myself. Spent many many hours and days..and weeks on it. Well, I wasn't doing it 24/7, plus I have to admit only half my heart was into it because I just wasn't sure that moving to a domain was the right move. Frankly I don't know what I was so scared of, but I guess it's probably partly due to if I could successfully get it up and running and how it would be received.

It's pretty easy as I just bought the domain via Blogger. Quite easy to figure the blog layout, and for certain html and css stuff that I wasn't sure of, i just googled it and managed to get most of my answers.

So that's basically it!

Do feel free to browse around my site and share your thoughts and stories. I will try to put up more interesting content, and if there's anything that you would like to read about, feel free to comment or email me and I'll try to do a post on it.

By the way, I've also got a Facebook page for my site, my personal Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest account which you can feel free to follow (okay, so I'm just hinting you to 'Like' and follow me! Please do cos I will be eternally grateful) :)
