Balmoral Bakery

I haven't been posting much on food lately cos we mostly start eating before I get the chance to take pictures. Either that, or I'm mostly busy settling Kaitlin. Like now when you open my photos in my phone, it's just pictures of Kaitlin.

Well, anyway, thanks to the people queuing in front of me at Balmoral Bakery, I got bored waiting and took the opportunity to take a picture of these little yummy treats:

If you are looking for a little taste of nostalgia, Balmoral Bakery is definitely the place. It's located at Sunset Way, and has been selling their traditional cakes and pastries for more than 50 years! The best part about is that their prices are so reasonable.

From savoury chicken pies and curry puffs to their custard puffs and butter cakes, there's definitely something to please everyone.

Just so you know, I purposely got us to travel to Sunset Way just to go to Balmoral Bakery. Yes, and I bought only four items cos we can't possibly finish anything more than that. Thankfully, Daddy Li didn't mind.

I honestly had to control myself from buying half the selection and finally ended up with getting the chocolate doughnut with hundreds and thousands, cream horn, coconut tart and the napoleon.

We especially loved how old school these treats were. We also like that Balmoral Bakery doesn't scrimp on their ingredients despite how affordable all their pastries and cakes are. Out of the four, we liked the coconut tart the most. K even tried some, and she was going "more, more"!

It's definitely a place worth checking out if you are missing your childhood treats. As for me, I'm definitely gonna head back soon to try out their chicken pies and other sweet nom noms!
