Kaitlin is 40 months old!

Almost a week since Kaitlin turned 40 months old! Sounds so old right!! It's like how is it that she is going to turn 4 this year?! It's amazing how she has entered our lives for three years already !!

Anyway, this post is finally up!! As mentioned in my previous post, my old macbook decided to fail on me :( Thankfully though, I managed to install Adobe (thanks a million KY!) this week! Hopefully, blogging and all will be back to normal. I'm still figuring out how to use the new photoshop cos I'm a tech retard like that :/ With that said, all that i'm lacking now is a functional camera so I won't end up with these cheap looking phone snaps :(

Kaitlin is able to take naps without her diapers (okay luh she should have been off diapers long ago, but I don't like the idea of having wet beds so like i just let her be, it's actually her who wanted to do without the diapers!!)
She is able to write numbers, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10.
Able to recite 13-line poetry (What Is It? by H.E. Wilkinson) in a week!
Able to memorize 50 items (linking memory) in 2 weeks!
Understands what is "odd one out"

Kaitlin can button her clothes
Has gotten into the habit of feeding herself at home (She is able to but we have never gotten her to feed herself the whole bowl, we would help her out. I know a little late! Should have started earlier!)
Had her first show and tell at school
Kaitlin knows how to take a picture with our phone
Kaitlin went for her first food tasting session

As you might have realised, there hasn't been much of "new" skills or milestones, but more of an improvement of what Kaitlin already knows how to do. And at a very fast speed as well! For example, Kaitlin picks words super fast, and knows how to string those words in a sentence. She comes up with her own responses to what we say, and most of the time they make sense and sometimes it's even pretty funny! Many times too, she is actually listening in to our conversations even though it's not directed at her, and she can recall them or understand what we say. I also realised that she has learnt how to "pretend she never hear" or well selective hearing and responding. We can be telling her something or asking her to do something and she ignores, but when you ask or tell her something she likes or is interested in, she immediately replies -.- Looks like she is well on her way to mastering the art of listening to mommy nag!
