Yang Yang Cookies - Review

We're just a few weeks away from Chinese New Year! Not sure why, but this year it feels like CNY's pretty early and I am far from being ready for CNY! No shopping done yet for new clothes, haven't started cleaning the house, much less have I even gone to shop for decor and all the yummy CNY goodies.

Thanks to Yang Yang though, I've been able to start on the CNY nomming and my belly has been pretty happy because they recently sent over some of their cookies for us to try out and let's just say they might be gone even before CNY comes heh.

Besides cookies, Yang Yang also has a range of Kueh Lapis in different flavours and are available in whole and half sizes.

We didn't get to try the Kueh Lapis, but the cookies were so yummy that we haven't been able to stop snacking away. We got to sample the traditional premium Green Pea Cookies, Almond Cookies as well as the Coffee Cookies! You know these cookies are the real deal when they have been baked following traditional recipes passed down through the Yang family generations for more than 50 years. For the health conscious or if you are particular about what your children consumes just like me, you would be happy to know that the cookies are made from all natural ingredients, and no preservatives are used! Best of all, they are halal-certified which makes it a great choice to add to your horde of goodies for when friends come over to visit this Chinese New Year.

What we like about all the three different cookies were that they were all not overly sweet. Maybe it's with age, but in recently years I have preferred whatever I consume to be less sweet. Sometimes I find overly sweet food items to be cloying and I can't go more than a few bites. However, with these cookies, it's non-stop nomming!

Of the three kinds, we love the Green Pea Cookies the most! There's a nice bite to the cookies with the green peas, and at the same time their still soft and buttery without crumbling too much once you pick them up. There's also that sweet-salty combination with each bite that makes it so hard to resist picking up another piece. Love. Major love.

Besides the signature all-time favourite cookies like Pineapple Tarts, Kueh Bangkit and Dark Chocolate Cookies, Yang Yang has also added some new cookies to their range. These include the Crunch Peanut Cookies and Coconut Cookies.

To check out the full range of cookies you can head over here! The site provides the prices of the cookies as well for your easy reference. You can purchase your favourite cookies online and have them delivered for your convenience. Great news if you order online! There's a special 10% promo from now till 24th Jan.

  1. I have tasted this cookies before and they are very, very good. The snack itself comes in a large block that can be snapped, or cut into smaller pieces, being as tasty as it is.Westchester General Contractors
