Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora

Last month Daddy Li and I celebrated our 40th month together, and I decided to bring him to Ocean Restaurant to celebrate. I initially planned to bring him there for Valentine's but it was booked full, so I postponed it and I'm glad to say that it was a great experience dining there.

This was taken at the carpark of Equarius Hotel while we were waiting to be shuttled to the Ocean Restaurant. Totally can't tell it's a carpark right?! The wonders of Instagram. Speaking of which..follow me @beaverwoo if you have yet to do so.

So pretty right?! We were seated right infront of the tank so we had a direct view of the beautiful fishes. This is gonna sound quite funny, but I felt so zen at that moment.

I got the set lunch menu, and Daddy just got a main dish. That way we could share and not end up being too full, and having that icky bloated feeling after. Didn't want to end up feeling uncomfy after cos we were going to the S.E.A aquarium (will blog about this soon!) after lunch!

The salad was yummy, but really nothing fancy in my opinion. Seeing the restaurant was helmed by Iron Chef Cat Cora, I was kind of expecting more.

I loved my main course. The snapper was cooked to perfection and so soft, plus it did not have any fishy taste or smell at all. I even let Kaitlin try the fish and she loved it. She kept wanting more. That's definitely a good sign cos Kaitlin can be quite a fussy eater. You must must try the fish!

Daddy Li's wagyu burger was a little tough, but other than that it was quite a nice main course.

Dessert was yummo! We loved every component of it. Great way to end off the meal.

Overall, the service was average. At times, it was hard to get the attention of the waiters. Also, paying the bill took an extremely long time. I don't know why they took so long to process the card, might not be an error on their part, but I was really rather displeased that I had to wait so long.

However, with that said, the stunning view of the aquarium totally made up for everything. It was really a unique dining experience, and we would most definitely return there again. I definitely recommend you to try out Ocean Restaurant, and I personally feel it is best to do so on weekdays so it's less crowded, and you might even get to dine at the tables right infront of the aquarium. Do note that it's best to make a reservation.
